PREVIEW: Clyde v Montrose
After a weekend off, Clyde are back in cinch League 1 action as Montrose visit Broadwood.
This is the second meeting between the sides this season, with two goals in the last two minutes from Clyde meaning the points were shared in a 2-2 draw at Links Park.
Danny Lennon will have the same squad available that face Airdrie, with no new injuries in the squad. Johnathan Page edges ever closer to being in contention after recovering from his injury.
The Clyde manager spoke to the official website ahead of the game:-
“Now that the first quarter of the league season is behind us, the wins and the draws we have achieved tell us that we have the players, the team spirit and the work rate to do well this season.
“The losses tell us that we still have work to do to make us hard to break down at the back, need to find a higher gear at times in midfield and need that little extra composure in and around the opposition box to grab that extra point or two points when it matters most.
“Only six points separates the top eight teams in the league right now. I have said all along, this group of players, the qualities they have, the characters they are, they are good enough to do well in this league.
“Putting together a run of positive performances and results in the second quarter of this league campaign, where we show our absolute best, would set us up to have a great season. Talk is cheap. Anyone can talk a good game. It’s time to get the sleeves rolled up and bring our best.”
