PREVIEW: East Fife v Clyde
Clyde play the first of two back-to-back away games in cinch League 1 tomorrow, as we travel to Methill to play East Fife at the Bayview Stadium.
East Fife sit 4 points below The Bully Wee in the table in 10th place having a win and a draw after 7 games. Clyde are in 8th place after the 2-2 draw against Queen’s Park on 8 points.
Ally Love and Jonathan Page continue their recoveries from injury and will miss out on the squad tomorrow, while the rest of the team that faced Queen’s Park last Saturday are available.
Danny Lennon spoke to the official website to give an update on both players:-
“The two players are coming along well, both of them trained on Thursday night with the medical and fitness staff. We’re hoping that Ally can join in a bit of normal training next week so hopefully it’s not too long before we see him back among the squad.
“Jonathan is getting ever so closer, he’s on the training ground now working with the medical staff so things are looking up on the injury front and long may that continue.”
The Clyde manager also spoke ahead of the cinch league 1 clash:-
“I think the level of performances in the past few games have been to a good standard. Our aim is to improve on them and pick up points. We have a hunger and desire to turn these narrow defeats or draws into victories.
“There’s been some negatives as well as the positives, and I think that it’s important we know what our strengths are and work hard to improve what we need to work on. The pleasing thing for me is that we’re now getting to a level where we can have the same starting eleven, or get close as close to it as we possibly can rather than making numerous changes every other week.”
