Cuddihy Aims to Kick On
Barry Cuddihy spoke to the media on Saturday after his winning goal gave The Bully Wee a 3-2 victory at Forthbank.
“It was a great result," he said. "Especially given the fact Stirling Albion had won four from four prior to today.
“It was always going to be a big game, even so early on in the season. If they got the three points then there would have been a big margin between us, but it was good to get the win and hopefully we can move up the table and start challenging."
The midfielder has been an ever-present so far this season, and believes The Bully Wee can move further up the table:-
“Hopefully we can kick on now and go on a run. It is a new squad and we’ve taken a little time gel in a new environment, but we’re definitely getting there. We feel like we can reach the play-offs at least.”
Cuddihy did admit that arriving at Broadwood with Jim Chapman and John Joyce, along with several former teammates, had helped him to settle in to the club:-
“It makes it easier to walk into the changing room and see so many familiar faces! We all know each other so we can just concentrate on the football. There’s a good spirit in the team and things are going well in training. We just need to take it into games now.”
